I can't believe it's already September. Although it's always sad when Summer ends, (shorter days- dark walks home from school *sighs*) Autumn is definitely an exciting season and a chance to start a new school year and wrap up warm. Here are a few things to look forward to this September:
'IT' By Alexa Chung - Have you ever found yourself in serious sartorial muddle and asked yourself, 'What would Alexa do?' Fear not because Alexa's first ever book writing endeavour should answer just that. The new book, out on the 5th, is a combination of her writings, doodles and photographs, explaining everything to how to get dressed in the morning to her style inspirations. A perfect book to sit on one's coffee table along with the latest issue of Vogue.
IOS 7 - September 10th marks Apple's day of exciting announcements. Although it is all but rumours, I am particularly excited about news of the release of a cheaper iPhone, dubbed the iPhone 5C. From various websites, it appears that the cheaper iPhone will still be very expensive. While some sites speculate £300 to £400, others claim it comes at a more affordable £100 with a contract ( which may result to about £400 anyway).
I am curious to see what they have cut down on in order to sell it cheaper without shifting attention and demand from the new, full-blown iPhone. My hopes are that is is on the cheaper end, has a good camera and runs on the new IOS 7.
London Fashion Week - Yes, it is that time of the year. The likes of Erdem, Peter Pilotto, Jonathan Saunders, Unique and Sophia Webster will be showcasing their Spring/ Summer looks starting from the 13th.
Aila Wang - Alexander Wang's niece Aila is giving Suri Cruise and Harper Beckham a run for their money. She is by far the best dressed toddler I have ever seen. She's been seen to wear mini versions of his creations, such as that famous minimalist, floaty, black dress and a mini rocco bag. I am so extremely jealous.
The return of Shelly's of London - Although it was before my time, apparently Shelly's was all the rage twenty odd years ago. Helping define mod in the swinging sixties and then grunge in the nineties. Well, it's back! It's apparently been scooped up by Aldo who has brought it back to life. It is possible that this brand may be reincarnated and continue to define decades to come ( or maybe it will flop! We'll see!).
