Apparently slogan tees are back in and so are beanies (Oh, I wonder which popular model of the moment sparked this little trend). I'm not one to follow trends (gave that one up a while back) but I am obsessed with this ingenious tee.
I had been scouring the net to find an imitation of the famous 'imitation' Hermes Brian Lichtenberg tees for centuries (yes, I exaggerate a fair amount) until I eventually found a rip-off of the rip-off in Urban Outfitters. Classy, is it not, my search for a genuine imitation of an imitation? The 'save' option is still expensive, so maybe it would be more fitting for it to be called the 'splurge a little less' option. I admit, the low-rider pick-up truck is somewhat snazzier than the SUV and 'south central' sounds all the more 'down with the kids' but the joke the same and it's half the price.
So, there you have it, if you want to be delving into the designer trend but are not made of money, fear not, there is a high street version.
